GREENVILLE, S.C., July 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- KEMET Corporation (NYSE: KEM), a leading manufacturer of tantalum, ceramic, aluminum, film, paper and electrolytic capacitors, today announced the promotion of Davide Montanari, Dr. Yuri Freeman and Dr. John Bultitude to the position of Technical Fellow for Film, Tantalum, and Ceramic Technology, respectively. The position of Technical Fellow represents the highest rank one can achieve on a technical career and has the same level as Vice President.

Davide Montanari graduated from the University of Bologna in Italy with a degree in Electrical Engineering and Automation. He has over 27 years of experience in the design of film capacitors, as well as design and manufacture of capacitor equipment. Montanari is a graduate of KEMET's 2010 Technology Leaders Forum and responsible for the overall technical direction in film development worldwide.
Dr. Yuri Freeman holds a Ph.D. in Solid State Physics from Kharkov Technical University in the Ukraine. He has over 30 years of experience in the design and development of tantalum and niobium capacitors. Freeman is an inventor on over 25 U.S. and foreign patents, an author on multiple technical publications and a graduate of KEMET's first Technology Leaders Forum class of 2007.
Dr. John Bultitude holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Surrey in the United Kingdom. He has extensive experience in ceramic capacitor development and is an inventor on over 10 patents, with many more patent applications in process. Bultitude is also a graduate of KEMET's 2010 Technology Leaders Forum and was recently named KEMET Co-Inventor of the Year for his work in developing innovative specialty capacitor designs.
