TDK begins operating all manufacturing sites in the Niigata

TDK Corporation (TSE:6762) is pleased to announce that from April 1, 2023 it will switch to electricity derived from 100% renewable energy sources at all manufacturing sites in the Niigata-Tohoku area through its participation in the "Yorisou, renewable energy" service provided by Tohoku Electric Power Co., Ltd. (President & Representative Director: Kojiro Higuchi).This is expected to raise the percentage of electricity from renewable sources used at TDK manufacturing sites nationwide to above 60%.

This initiative is consistent with the respective visions of both companies. Going forward, both companies will continue to cooperate in various ways to solve the issues facing society.

TDK is also pursuing the switch to renewable energy-derived electricity for its sites in other areas, and will complete the switch to 100% of electricity from renewable energy sources at all of its major manufacturing sites in Japan within 2023..
